Ag-Tech is defined as technology that increases the efficiency of farms, in the form of software, sensors, aerial-based data, Internet-based distribution channels (marketplaces), and tools for technology-enabled farming

 

The agriculture industry is becoming aware of better ways to do things, leveraging advancing technologies such as blockchain, smart contracts, smart devices, and analytics. 

 

  • Blockchain allows improved ownership lineage. 

  

  • Smart contract technology allows improved supply chain management and settlement. 

 

  • Smart devices (Internet of Things (IOT)) allows advanced data collection and analytics, improving yields.

 

  • Analytics will allow better planning and proactive responses to current conditions.

The Approach

 

Distributed Ledger Technology and Smart Contracts will be made available on blockchain foundation.

 

Initial focus will be on Supply Chain Management.

 

This foundation can be expanded to include IOT “transactions” and analytics.
